Two more people are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every hour, that's 18,000 people every year. Causing a huge loss of physical movement and uncontrollable tremors, the disease will affect 145,000 people in the UK alone in 2020. New treatments are needed to stop Parkinson's in its tracks.Your donations will support this important work, helping our researchers to lead the way in developing new treatments for Parkinson's Disease.
Since lockdown I've been getting out on my bikes more regularly (an old hybrid and a newer hardtail MTB) and am appreciating my local countryside a lot, lot more. I know this is one of those charity appeals where people ask for donations to do what they like doing, but I have set myself a huge challenge (for me) of riding every single day (whatever the weather), completing a total distance (much of it off-road) of 600 km (more than a return trip from Sheffield to London) and climbing more than 10,000 m (more than ten Skafell Pikes).
If you'd like to support a fantastic cause and motivate me to keep getting out there, please donate what you can. Strava kudos, Facebook likes and verbal "good lucks" via Zoom, Google Meet and MS Teams much appreciated!
