I am running the Bath Half Marathon in aid of a charity very close to my heart, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony. 

I first heard about Hannah when she started her charity. She was fighting osteosarcoma; the treatment for which hadn’t changed for decades. She wanted to fund research into bone cancer and to grant wishes for seriously ill people. 

I was struck by her courage, her selflessness and also her good humour with which she fought her illness.   Very sadly we lost Hannah, but her legacy lives on through her charity-  Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony. I have been a Friend of Willberry for five years but I wanted to do more, and this is my chance. 

Anyone who knows me, knows I am not a runner but I relish the challenge and if anything can motivate me to do this  it’s to raise money for such a worthwhile charity.
