Story
Mary Purcell Cosgrave; mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, colleague, confidant...
At 11:15am on Wednesday 6th November 2019 Mary lost her battle with Stage 4 Glioblastoma. Having been diagnosed 17 months prior to her passing, she was inspirational in her positive and accepting approach to this devastating diagnosis and she remained so throughout brain surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Mary spent the last 4 months of her life at The Royal Trinity Hospice, Clapham. It was here that she received exceptional, care from every member of staff. The doctors, nursing staff, administration and domestic staff all treated her with the utmost respect, personal care and great dignity.
We feel utterly indebted to the Royal Trinity Hospice whose services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. They receive only a quarter of their funding from the NHS. The Royal Trinity Hospice relies on donations to raise the remaining amount which is over £11 million every year.
Many thanks for any donations.
