Story
We have set up this fundraising page in memory of our beautiful mum and wife Mary. Mum was the most generous and warm hearted person and we know she would prefer donations in lieu of flowers to help those going through a similar experience. Kidney disease and kidney failure can happen at any age and treatment is gruelling. Mum was unfortunately unable to have a kidney transplant, but her time on the organ donation list gave her incredible hope. If you haven't already please do register for organ donation and you could save a life.
As a charity, Kidney Wales work tirelessly to provide support to patients and their families living with Kidney Disease in Wales. With the spread of COVID-19, it is more important than ever that we are able to provide support and services to the Kidney Community here in Wales. For many kidney patients and their families, this period is a very a difficult one with lots of anxiety about what's ahead. Enquiries about Coronavirus (COVID-19) have surged and were busy responding and planning activities to keep people connected. As an independent charity, all of the services that Kidney Wales provide to patients and their families depend on donations and fundraising events. Unfortunately due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, a lot of those fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed meaning that a lot of funding that Kidney Wales was depending on is now uncertain. Please help us support their work during this time of crisis by donating in memory of mum/Mary.
