On Sunday 18th April I will be running my first (and last) marathon.
I will be running for Cancer Research in memory of my wonderful Aunt Teresa and her brother Uncle Charlie. Both of whom our family have lost in the last 20 months.
They both grew up and lived in Brighton so it seems a fitting tribute to be running Brighton's inaugural marathon to commemorate their lives.
And all you Brightonians (you know who you are) thank you in advance for lining the route next Sunday.
Support will be most needed around the village of the damned (Ovingdean!) and along the road to hell (Shoreham)
I've managed a 20 mile run and the thought of having to add another 6 reduced me to tears so hopefully the roar of the crowds between the piers will carry me along the prom on the day.
Thank you for your donation. It means a lot. Mx
