Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've never done an event run before. I've never run 10k before. In fact I don't know if I can run 10k so I'll be as surprised as anyone else but I am going to do it. This is the first Parallel London event and it is truly inclusive. "All ages. All abilities. No cut-off times. No excuses. You can run, walk, wheel, push or anything in between." There are lots of different distances from 100 metres to 10 kilometres and no barriers.
I'm looking forward to a great day out with my colleagues, including my boss and two members of our board who are also taking part. The serious bit is the challenge our organisation faces in raising funds for our core work of campaigning for equal participation for all disabled people by right, rather than at the discretion of someone else's charity, in UK society. The parallel London event is symbolic of the society we'd like to see - no barriers, just people getting on in life as best we can.
