Story

I will be trekking across the Sahara desert as part of a week-long expedition to raise money for St Kentigern Hospice, which provides end-of-life care to adult patients in North Wales. All of the hospice's services are completely free and delivered by a dedicated team of professional nurses, volunteers and administrative staff. It's an amazing charity, and it needs our support.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime, as I will experience the beauty of one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. However, it will be a tough challenge, trekking across the Sahara's ever-changing landscape in searing heat, and taking-on the massive Chigaga Dunes.

The days will be hot, and the trekking will be tough, but the rewards of being part of one of the best fundraising events around, conquering this desert and the pleasure of having the volcanic Anti-Atlas Mountains as the backdrop will be worth it.
