Just to let you all know that I duly completed the ride in 3 hours 18 minutes - not too quick as quite breezy and a few good hills to deal with. The whole trip was in fact close on 100km after taking into account the cycle ride to and from the start and finish at Ponteland! It was a lovely sunny day and no ill effects - apart from the terminal leg cramps at the roller disco at the old peoples home on Saturday night.
