Story
Our Dad, Alby, passed away peacefully 5th April 2013.
Dad was diagnosed with cancer on 6th October 2011. He fought 2 rounds of chemo and it managed to keep his tumour at bay.
Dad was admitted to the Freeman hospital a couple of weeks ago as he was poorly.Thursday 21st March 2013, we were given the news that Dad's cancer had spread to his lungs and liver. We spent the next few weeks preparing to have him cared for at home. He come home on 3rd April 2013.
The day before Dad died, he requested we raise money for Macmillan Nurses as they have been a massive support to him and us as a family.
Most of us have been touched by cancer, please donate what you can and support the Macmillan nurses.
The funeral will be held Friday 12th April at St Bernadette's Church then onto Tynemouth Crem.
Dad requested the day before he died, girls wear pink and the boys wear blue to his funeral. We're not 100% how drugged up he was that day, but interpret it as you see fit.
A celebration of Dad's life will then follow at The Barking Dog, Kings Road.
