We are a group of servicemen and civilian volunteers who have come together to make a real difference to peoples views and perceptions of what is possible.

Members of our team have suffered life-changing injuries whilst serving our country, lost limbs in many cases and injuries that mean their fight back to "normality" is only just beginning.

As part of this recovery, we at TTS offer them the chance to prove everyone wrong and to not only take part in an Ironman Triathlon, but to complete it.

An Ironman Tritathlon is one of the hardest single day endurance events on the planet. It involves the following:

2.4 mile (3.8km) open water swim

112 mile (180km) bike ride 

26.2 mile (42km) run (yes, thats a full marathon)

The three events run on from each other and each athlete has 17hrs to complete the event and claim the medal and the all important finish time.

I am taking part with 50 other Team True Spirit athletes on 22nd July 2012 at Ironman UK (http://www.ironmanuk.com/ironman-uk)
