After Dad died in 2011 Mum (Stella) moved to Kent to live near Sally, her daughter. She had a number of happy, active years there before experiencing a subarachnoid haemorrhage in 2017. Although never back to full health, she made a slow but remarkable recovery, and enjoyed being with and seeing her family over the following nearly 3 years. We put this recovery down in no small part to the advise and information from Brain and Spine Foundation, as well as Sally and her family's tireless efforts to care for her during the critical initial recovery period. She was subsequently well cared for by Sally, daily carers and most recently during lock-down by her grandson, Alex. Sadly, at the end of June this year,she passed away and we would like to acknowledge the role of the Brain and Spine Foundation in giving those extra few years that we will all cherish.
