Story
Following our 2016 London to Southend efforts, 4 of us will once again be donning our Lycra and this time going a little extra...just the small matter of cycling 278 miles (477 km) between London and Paris. As part of this little excursion we'd love the opportunity to raise money for Breast Cancer care and give something back, please note that we are 100% funding this trip ourselves so every single penny will go direct to charity. This disease is something that has affected both close relatives and friends and we have all witnessed the pain and heartache associated with it. Training has already started and in addition to the 'big one' we will also be participating in:
30th April - Pedal for the J's Hospice - 50 miles
7th May - Ride for Helen - 35 miles
3rd September - Essex 100 - 100 miles
Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and
really help spur the team on to smash out the miles, so please share this page. Below is a brief description of the charity.
Breast cancer changes everything, and every 10 minutes someone in the UK is told they have it. Breast Cancer Care understands the emotions, challenges and decisions people face every day. They know that everyone's experience is different. 691,000 people in the UK are
currently living with a breast cancer diagnosis and right now, Breast
Cancer Care can't reach everyone when the need them. But with support, they can be there for more people with care, support and information from day one.
