Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.....as many of you know I sadly and suddenly lost my mum last christmas. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her...I miss her so much.
However I know she would not like to hear me talk like this she would want me to continue enjoying what she considered to be by crazy hectic busy life. And I am! But I have embarked on something even crazier to add to my already busy and life. I have chosen to do a charity challenge in memory of my mum. This charity is close to my heart as it not only encompasses research into the horrid cancer that took my mum but also areas of illness and disability that affects women and babies that I look after on a daily basis being a midwife.
I would never of got through what I still consider to be the worse time of my life, without all the love and support from all my friends and family. So I hope you don't mind but I am asking for your help and support again, albeit on happier terms this time. Please will you join and support me in raising £4000 for this worthy charity.
I am conscious not to continually be asking for your money over the next 15 months, so as well as looking for sponsorship for my cycle ride I will be organising fundraising social events which I hope will enable us to enjoy ourselves as well as raising money for the charity. I am grateful for any help, ideas, donations but most of all I will value your company/memories for what I consider to be an exciting journey ahead of me both fundraising and participating in the challenge.
I have chosen a challenge that will challenge me both physically and mentally. Being that cycling appears to be my strength I am participating in the Women for Women cycle Tanzania to Zanzibar November 2014. The ride covers approx 350km, providing we don't get lost over varing terraine in varing hot weather.
