Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sadly, our son Marley has been diagnosed with severe plagiocephaly, which causes his head to grow in an abnormal shape. While it won't affect his development, it will mean he has to live with the deformity for the rest of his life, and we are concerned about how it may affect his self-esteem and confidence in the future.

This can be caused by multiple things, most commonly positional plagiocephaly and is caused by torticollis (tight neck muscles) which makes it hard for babies to turn their head & results in them resting their heads in the same position. Also with Marley being born 10 weeks premature it meant his head was extremely soft.

Severe plagiocephaly is treatable but not on the NHS so we are appealing to help raise costs towards Marleys treatment - a custom fitted helmet - which will encourage his head to grow/ mould in a more natural way.

We would love to help marley with his condition however the cost of the helmet is £2750 an amount we dont have access to. We would be really appreciate anything you are able to donate towards his treatment. We really appreciate times are hard at the moment but as they say, every little helps!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Kayleigh & Mark
