On the 26th May, I will join 52 other members of the Ripcor cycling club and set off on a 300km journey from Berkshire to Paris.
Earlier this year one of our own, Rob Paulding (Pelo) tragically passed away. We ride in memory of him, and for a cause that mattered to him, and matters to all of us at Ripcor: The PACE Centre.
Some of you may know me as a keen cyclist but I haven't taken on a challenge like this in a few years. I'd therefore deeply appreciate any donations, sponsorship and words of encouragement.
Background on the ride
At Ripcor, Berkshire’s premier cycling club, we are riding from Berkshire to Paris to celebrate the life of our friend and club-mate, Rob ('Pelo') Paulding, while also aiming to raise as much money as possible for our friends at The PACE Centre.
Pelo was there at the very start of the Ripcor journey, and a fierce supporter of our favourite charity, the Pace Centre, contributing to, and, helping us raise, in excess of £750,000. He never let us forget how lucky we were to be able to do something we love and at the same time raising money for children who need our support.
Your support will help to transform the lives of children with sensory motor disorders. You will help unlock the potential of children with conditions such as cerebral palsy by helping to provide intensive specialist education and therapy individually tailored to each child. You will be giving the children the skills they need to become independent. Find out more at https://thepacecentre.org/
And remember:
It’s all good! Keep it tidy. #bemorepelo
