Story

For those of you anaware, last year I raised just over £1,000 for Cancer Researh by shaving my head on my 20th birthday and I had a great time helping fight cancer. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to try something different for my 21st birthday, and a lot more painful.

Like before, I've got a friend who can relate to this. Her name is Rebecca who has a loved one suffering with dementia, and so like before, I have decided to try the best I can to raise money for the charity, because dementia and Alzheimer's are horrible diseases. Over time you can forget everything, what day it is, where you are, even your friends and family of which you love. It is this reason why I've chosen Alzheimer's Research as my charity of choice.

Now, I know what a lot of you are thinking. Why on earth would I choose to have my legs waxed. Well, I've got 2 answers for that question. Reason number 1, it's very entertaining to watch a man with hairy legs scream in agony as hair is ripped from your skin. Reason number 2 is a symbolic reason, as suffering from dementia can be very painful for you and those around you to go through. All I can say is I hope you can help me on this almost 2 month journey towards the 26th of April.
