Story
Hi Everyone,
I'm back !! and once again I have taken it upon myself to undertake this gruelling 168 mile cycle ride! Starting at Alexandra Palace in London and finishing at the Download Festival in Derbyshire, along with a motley crew of dubious characters from the world of Heavy Metal and Rock n Roll.
I am raising money for 3 very worthwhile causes, Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.
Last year as a group we managed to raise a staggering £102,000 and this year I want to help them raise even more.
All help, support, donations no matter how small all help to make a difference and change lives.
I again have the honour of joining my good friends The Heavy Metal Truants, led by Alexander Milas (Founding father of the Heavy Metal Cycling Club) and Rod Smallwood (Legendary manager of the mighty Iron Maiden) and be part of the elite brotherhood of the Heavy Metal Truants.
This is no mean feat... It is a true test of mind over matter and endurance.
Your support in this adventure would be really appreciated,
Please dig deep and give what you can (Don't forget the gift aid!) Any amount you donate is really appreciated.
Mark
Nordoff Robbins is the largest independent music therapy charity in the UK, dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable and isolated people. It supports thousands of people in its own centres and by working in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals. When delivered by a trained practitioner, music therapy can help a child with autism to communicate, reduce anxiety for those living with dementia or provide comfort and celebrate the life of someone facing terminal illness.
