Story
Since 21th March 2020 (around the beginning of the first lockdown) I have gone out running every day, whatever the weather (yes, even in the snow).
I am now aiming to complete a full year of “running every day” and planning (hoping) to run a full marathon on the final day (20th March 2021).
To date I have run 353 days, over 2,021 miles (an average of over 40 miles a week), completed 26 half-marathons plus two full marathons. My minimum distance is 3 miles.
At the start, the daily running was mainly to help me cope with the ongoing pressures of this pandemic, but now it has become a way of raising some funds for a charity which has seen a reduced income over the past year.
Please show your support, by donating to Kiota, a kitchen table UK charity, working with KIWOHEDE, a Tanzanian organisation working for the rights, health and development of women and children in Tanzania. Kiota are currently supporting the education of 120 students at the KIWOHEDE Open School. As well as providing secondary education, the school aims to prevent early marriage, unwanted pregnancy, child prostitution, dangerous child labour and gang involvement, and targets those most at risk of abuse and hazardous labour. Your support will help the students choose their own futures.
Thank you!
