Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know I am a complete cycling geek. So it didn't take long for me to say yes to the opportunity to cycle home from Gamescom this year to raise money for GamesAid. It has given me the opportunity to use my hobby to raise money for the excellent charities that GamesAid supports. More details on GamesAid can be found at www.gamesaid.org and a list of the charites it is supporting this year can be found further below.
Although I love cycling and ride a decent amount, please be in no doubt that this bike ride is a real challenge. We will be covering over 500km in just over 3 days, leaving Cologne at the crack of dawn on the 18th August and hopefully making it to Brighton by the morning of the 21st. That amount of time in the saddle is incredibly hard for one day alone but three days of this type of riding isn't something I have done in 20 years - just in case you thought this was something I do regularly!
Although I make no promises, my aim to to then add an extra tough end to the challenge by cycling the rest of the way home to London. But we'll have to wait and see on that one!
This is a team challenge and industry colleagues Cat Channon, Dave Priestman, James Beaven, Nick Heyward, Graeme Struthers and Nathan Ditum and Sarah Ditum, will also be joining me.
A big thank you to Kalypso Media for not only giving me the time off to take part in the challenge but also for assisting me with clothing, food and accommodation during the challenge.
