The main charity associated with this event is important to me for personal reasons; however those reading this will be aware I've only publicised fundraising a tad close to the event date! The reason for this and for the low fundraising expectations is I didn't think I'd actually make it to the start line in the first place, thanks to a series of niggling injuries; I didn't want to over-sell sponsorship if I wasn't that hopeful I'd be taking part. However my physio recently gave me the all-clear so here I am.
