Escape to victory

Hi all,
So we are cycling from to over 4 days in July - that's a total of 440 miles all for the good of charity. The ride takes us over some of the more 'serious' Scottish peaks and this is not a big, organised event – it’s just me and a close friend Ed doing the whole trip unsupported.
Those that know me will probably wonder while l am prepared to put myself and more specifically my legs through the pain. It’s simple really: I do a lot of sitting around in the office, pondering my next holiday, my next meal or night out etc. During one of these ‘pondering’ moments, Ed and I realised that it’s time we put something more back in to society, do something that makes a difference, makes us feel good: really achieve something.
There are lots of charities out there - some get huge donations each year and do ground-breaking work, others are smaller, just as important but survive off pennies. That’s why I’m doing this for the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS). It is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.
Everyone reading this will know at least one person who has suffered from the disease - the money raised by this ride will provide support, love, care and healing for hundreds of people. NOS isn't a big charity, but the disease affects so many people - my mother included.
So l am going to make a difference and I want you to help me! And trust me, every penny will be earned. So please sponsor me with whatever you can spare - the support is invaluable!
Mark
