Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. Well here we go again! I ran the 2012 London marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Chris, my mother-in-law who passed away in 2008 from Ovarian cancer.

Cancer has left some huge holes in the lives of people close to me during the last 12 months. I am hoping in some small way that by running the marathon again this year for Marie Curie Cancer Support, I can raise a few pounds to help others suffering from life limiting illness. Seeing the work Marie Curie Cancer nurses do is simply inspiring!

Many people who read this will know my good and long time friend, Johnny Cooper lost a brave fight to this disease last year, Shaun McGrath my mother-in-laws partner, sucummbed after another long and brave fight. Many more will suffer and if donating a few pounds can help people receive the support and care they so badly need in their last few days then it has to be worth it.

Please dig deep, it's worth it and remember to Gift Aid!!
