Having seen first hand the affects of dementia and Alzheimer in the people you most care about and love, I wanted to do my part to raise  money to help research and try and find a cure for this disease. Not only does this disease affect the individual but also the carers who have to look after them every day.

I have also taken part in a virtual dementia tour, so as to try and have some real understanding what people with dementia have to deal with on a daily basis. Loosing you sense of hearing, getting tunnel vision, loss of coordination and general confusion along with pins and needles in your feet and hands were some of the conditions that people with the extremities of the illness deal with daily and from what I experienced was very confusing and very frightening.  

By cycling from Whitehaven to Whitely Bay within two days to raise money for Dementia UK is to try and help raise money for the help and support that they provide for people and carers who are affected by this illness.  I would really appreciate that you would be able to support me in this challenge and sponsor me with whatever donations you can afford for this extremely good cause.  You kind donations will be greatly received.
