Never again! Those were the words when I finished the Raid Alpine in 2010. However, the lure of lycra has got me back in the saddle.

Paul and I will be peddling 1000km in just 6 days, which is about 104 miles and 2,500 metres of climbing on average per day.  We've been training and can now comfortably do around 60 miles in a day but that's around Oxfordshire, which is a lot flatter than Corsica! 

We will be covering all of our own costs and will be doing this to raise money for Special Effect (www.specialeffect.org.uk), which develops and implements technology to allow disabled people to enjoy the benefits of computer games. Imagine not being able to move anything but your eyes and the sense of liberation it would give you to be able to play games and communicate with just the use of your eyes.
