Just an update for everyone who kindly keeps asking, I DID IT!
Yes I managed to complete the the 100mile off-road bike ride over the South Downs on Saturday, I set off at 5:30am and 100miles and 12808ft of climbs later I crossed the line at 5:20pm out of the 300 hundred people who set off I managed to cross the line around the 25th rider, the weather was in the mid twenties with bits of cloud cover, unfortunately I had a 15-20mph head wind most of the way too!
It was brutal and far more epic than I had anticipated, I can't describe some of routes and enormity of the hills that I got over, put it this way on Saturday evening I didn't think I would be sitting at my desk today, more like standing at it!
Also I couldn't have done without the help of quite a few people and thanks to you all, these being:
Zoey & Taylor - For supporting me across the whole length of the route, with fluids and food, smiling and cheering me on when I needed it most. Also for putting up with me whilst I was doing all the training.
Tony French - Big thanks for taking the time out, to be at the top of one of the biggest hills around the 70 mile mark with his enthusiastic gee up and big slap an the back, telling me it was all lovely and fresh, it really helped
Ian Foster - For letting me use the AF van for the whole weekend to use as my support vehicle.
Ian Foster, Steven Gill & Tony Timmins - for ruining your Saturdays with the extra unnecessary miles you put in when you didn't need too
Lyndon Smith - Big thanks for spending extra hours going further miles than you needed too, in all types weather and pushing me that bit further.
Karl Yates - For suggesting it!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone else who has donated money.
Once again, Thank you

I'm doing the 100 mile South Downs Way off road bike challenge!
The race starts at 5.15am on the 20th July in Winchester and follows the South Downs Way to Eastbourne, the majority of the race is off road with approximately 10,000ft of climbs, I have set myself a target of 12 hours to finish the 100miles however anything under 15 hours will be great!
I've been training all year for the ride, I'm doing it as a personal challenge and obviously to raise money for a very worthwhile charity.
