Story

In May of this year, I will undoubtedly take on the biggest challenge of my life, both physically and psychologically.

Having not ridden a bike consistently since my paper round of 1990! I will be undertaking a seriously daunting task, cycling from Stonehouse in Gloucestershire to Bordeaux (St Emillion) in the south of France over four consecutive days.

The trip is approximately 600km, thats 360 miles in old money! doing the 'math' splits that down into a very unreasonable 90 miles per 11 hour riding days! - this stat obviously doesnt scare enough so lets factor in the hills - 2800m of ascent, thats gonna hurt!

Training is well underway now, beer, wine and chocolate is now a thing of the past (errrrrrmmmmm little white lie) - i'm actually losing weight...... its good for that cycling!!, in fact each event day will burn off around 6000kcals, almost 5 carvery's worth of food a day!

Well i'm scaring myself now so i'm going to sign off, please sponsor me - and if you dont fancy sponsoring me then sponsor! my wife (you can do that on my page) as she will have the boys to look after for four consecutive days...... !
