Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2013, I trekked the Great wall of China in memory of my Uncle/Godfather Ronnie Spence, who passed away in 2006 after his battle with Prostate Cancer. In 2012, my Uncle, John Mead, passed away with having battled with Cancer himself. My trek of the Inca Trail in June 2017, is in memory of him.

It would be said that the loss of one's life through Cancer, has touched each and every one of us. That could be true. There maybe someone we have liked, or loved, that has passed away from having Cancer. An Uncle, an Aunt, a Mother or a Father,  or a close Friend.

For me personally, when a child has to go through the experience of having treatment for Cancer, it really pulls on my heart strings. I am a Dad to two boys, and my kids mean the world to me. I feel very blessed to have them in my life. This fundraising attempt and trek of the Inca trail is to help and support not just the children affected by Cancer but Parents and siblings, along with close family members. This charity means a lot to me, and it's down to it being a charity for Children that has done that. Thank you for donating to my JustGiving page. Mark x
