24 HOUR MRK5

24 HOUR MRK5 · 20 May 2022
After the massive success of last years battle cancer, we are ready to go again and smash last years fundraising total!
So keeping to what we know best we are going to take on a 24 hour MRK5 challenge. This will involve the 4 of us working through a continuous bootcamp circuit with the extra addition of “The wheel of misfortune”. This wheel will decide the fate of our team station EHOH (every hour on the hour).
So we have decided to pick The Christie as our chosen charity, being local to Manchester we see the benefit this charity has on the people receiving treatment here plus the vital support it offers to their families. It is also closer to our hearts as one of our fellow bootcampers has a relative currently receiving care from The Christie. As a fitness family we always look after one of our own, so, The Christie was the obvious choice.
For 24 hours we will continuously work out way through:
Run x300m
Ski or Row 500m
Low Prowler x75m
Dumbell clean press x 25 (various weights)
Battle ropes x 100
Our aim is to complete AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) of the MRK5 circuit.
On top of this we will have “The wheel of misfortune” this will decide our Team Station at the end of every hour.
This will involve a spin of the wheel !!!!
The wheel will land on 1/12 options:
YGIG- between 2 people
YGIG burpees
YGIG box jumps
YGIG lunges
YGIG slams
YGIG butterfly sit ups
YGIG wall balls
YGIG TRX tucks
YGIG Atomics
YGIG speed shuffles
YGIG plank jabs
YGIG Kettle bell swings
YGIG TRX Rows
For the final hour of our challenge we will open up class to more members and finish with a body weight FINISHER class stations changing every 60 secs, each station will be decided by a spin of the wheel!
We welcome people to join us throughout the day to join us in this challenge and add to our AMRAP count and spin the wheel of misfortune! Come and donate your sweat and cash for a brilliant cause. Please book on using the booking software.
Please support us and our chosen charity!
All our love
