This Sunday I am participating in the Plusnet Yorkshire marathon. My sister-in-law, Jenny put me forward for this race and we are running together in memory of a good friend of hers, Chris Wilford. Chris lost his battle with Ewings Sarcoma last year. 

This will be my first marathon having never previously had the want or desire to run any further than 10k. Training started well and I had lofty ambitions of a specific time, this has since been reevaluated and now my sole aim is to finish in one piece!!
