Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The three of us work as Firefighters at Handsworth Fire Station and after completing the Birmingham half marathon in October 2010 decided to take the plunge and attempt our first marathon, we work shifts and at times squeezing in the training sessions can be difficult but we are trying! We thought that the marathon would be a great opportunity to raise some funds for charity and because of the field we work in decided that contributing to the Burns unit at the Queen Elizabeth hospital was an area close to all of our hearts.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate -we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks for your contribution it's really appreciated.
