One in five people will have a serious sight condition in their life time.  Sight loss doesn’t care who you are or where you are from; anyone can be affected.

I'm fundraising on behalf of the charity "Fight for Sight", who help fund ground-breaking research into ways to prevent and treat sight loss. The fight against sight loss is on the cusp of many breakthroughs, but they need funding to get there. Your donation to help me hit my target that will help fund that research.

Over the last 12 months, I've personally experienced the importance of this research, having developed a condition which could have led to a total loss of vision.  The wide variety of conditions that lead to blindess aren't well understood, with limited treatment options and poor prognosis in general, so I count myself as fortunate to be able to be in a position to raise money to help others who won't be so lucky.
