I hope this sends you an email or something... but I finished the run in 1hr 4mins which although slower than I wanted, I'm happy with as I had forgotten my watch to pace myself and it also included a toilet break! it was pretty congested too so slow people kept getting in the way!! Thank you all for donating, you helped me push through when my legs were tired and I wanted to slow down. Thank you so very much :)

As some or all of you may know, my brother passed away in 2008. Since then I have had regular heart screenings thanks to, and provided by CRY - Cardiac Risk in the Young.

Again, as some may know, after a couple of screenings it was diagnosed that they believe I have a heart condition called Brugada and so I cannot take part in anything longer than a 10k.

 

Basically, I know this run is only 6 miles and so if you can't/don't want to donate then don't worry. I have just set up this page to try and raise a little more money for this charity that is really important to me but I'm most importantly to raise awareness of the things CRY strive to promote.

Even fit and healthy young people can have an undiagnosed heart condition and CRY, with the help of affected families and Philips, they provide FREE screening for people aged between 14 and 35 (http://www.c-r-y.org.uk/ecg.htm)
