“The Lost Generation”
As Syria enters her 8th year of war, the has been a rise in fear of the “Lost Generation” as more refugee children have been forced out of school and into explotative child labour. Since March 2010, theres been an estimate of 5.6 million Syrian refugees who have fled to neighboruing lands for refuge, creating the largest refugee and displacement crisis of our time. Due to this, more than 40 percent of these children living in neighboring countries are not being educated and the number is rising due to a lack of funding , bullying in schools and being forced to work underpaid to make ends meet.
With your support, we can raise awareness and provide these children residing in Jordan with education they deserve, where for every child enrolled in school, we will provide their family with 30 Jordanian dinars. This will not only ensure stable accommodation for the children, as parents will no longer have to worry about rent – it will also stop them being forced to leave school and work to earn money.
