Story
As most of you that know me, I have been one of the main organizers for the Laguna Phuket Triathlon’s since 2005, being responsible of the running course, and only last year we had our first Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championship. So this year I decided it was time to try to complete my first Triathlon and was inspired by my colleagues Tim Haddon and Johannes Rabl to give it a go and thought there was no reason why I shouldn’t try it.
Having said that, Phuket is surrounded by the sea and one of the common activities for local people and children especially, is swimming. There have been lot’s of cases of children drowning, and like my home town Sydney Australia, swimming lessons are part of our normal activities we do at school. Unfortunately in Thailand swimming is not part of their normal activities and it’s not common here, so we have joined forces with Laguna and my colleagues to try and help raise money to increase swimming lessons for the children of Thailand through me completing the entire individual race on 27 November 2011, and would like to ask for your kind donations to help the children of Phuket to have a better life by providing more swimming lessons.
So please help donate whatever spare change you may have, as every penny or cent counts, thank you!
