Story
As many of you know my son Freddie was born 11 weeks early and developed NEC necrotising Enterocolitis a life threatening bowel condition predominantly affecting premature babies. Freddie wasn’t expected to survive and we were told to say goodbye we had him baptised in intensive care. He miraculously survived but lives with long term complications of NEC including short bowel syndrome he is dependant on PN intravenous nutrition he also has cerebral palsy. NEC had changed our life forever but we are lucky he survived.
I became involved with NEC UK charity as a volunteer and am now chair.
I have decided to try and run 50 miles before Easter to raise funds and awareness of NEC. Noah is 9 and he plans to try and run 45 miles.
I am dedicating each mile to one of our NEC babies some who sadly lost their battles to NEC
Thanks to all those who have already donated on Facebook giving I have already raised £205 thanks so much 🥰
