I am  fundraising for the Cavell trust by holding a cake sale at Gloucester Royal Hospital FRIDAY 4TH DECEMBER in the main entrance, where the official lighting up of the Christmas tree is taking place.

The Mt. Cavell challenge, where 100 Cavell Ambassadors (including me!) will take part in an action packed week including hiking Mt.Cavell, white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing,mountain biking, oh and glacier walking! Yes all in one week!  This is taking place in  Jasper National Park, Canada in the last week of August 22nd - 29th. This is going to be a challenging week for me physically and mentally but I am looking forward to challenging myself and raising money for a brilliant cause.

I would appreciate any support you can offer by donating what you can to this fantastic charity.

The Cavell trust offer a fantastic support service for nurses', midwives and healthcare assistants in the UK. If your life has been touched by a nurse/student nurse/midwife or a HCA, then donating to this charity is a fantastic way to give something back, to show your appreciation for the amazing work these healthcare professional undertake, as at the end of the day - they need looking after too! 

This challenge also celebrates 100 years since the death of Edith Cavell, a British nurse who continues to be celebrated for her courageous work by saving WW1 soldiers on both sides during the war. Pease see https://www.cavellnursestrust.org/  for more information.
