Story
Last year I lost my beautiful friend Yvette to cancer. I had known her for almost 10 years and not a day goes by that I don't feel the huge gap she has left behind. My amazing nana was also diagnosed with cancer in January last year, she fought through it and has now been given the all clear. These 2 women were and are so so strong but to go through this disease is scary and weakening. Macmillan is not there to offer a cure but to help give you the strength you and your family will need, whether it be to get through cancer or to sort things out for after it has taken you or your loved one away. Without this amazing charity i'm not sure my family or many of the other 2 million families living with cancer could get through the terrible time that this illness will take them through. The advice, support and time these people give is invaluable and genuinely deserves everyones support, as lets face it at some point throughout our lives we will all need & appreciate their help, whether directly or through friends and family. Every little helps so please donate anything you can. Marie xx
P.S I'll be walking this on my birthday!!
