On May 12th 2014 (CFS/ME Awareness Day), I shall be dressing as Sleeping Beauty (or an idiot - delete as applicable), to help raise awareness and funds for Invest in ME.

Those of you who know me will know that 6 years ago my life changed dramatically after developing this condition, and I soon discovered there was little treatment, awareness of the condition and sometimes, hope, on offer.

ME affects around 250,000 people in the UK, and causes neurological, cardiac, muscular and digestive symptoms along with a host of others - which are too great in number to list, as well as persistent exhaustion which makes everyday tasks challenging.

I have been very lucky, in that I have seen some improvement and am able to find some happiness in life even though it is different than the one I had planned, and for this I am very grateful. For many people though, things go the other way.

I'd like to raise money for, and awareness of, this condition, as research is very underfunded, and I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation to this cause.

All who donate will be entered into an organised prize draw to possibly win some kindly donated prizes including some e.l.f. cosmetics or a Hug Box full of chocolates and sweets.
