I am running the Nottingham Robin Hood Half Marathon for Kidney Research UK at the end of September this year.

I am running the half marathon with my law society; I signed up for the run a while ago now on abit of a wim and without giving that much consideration to the number of miles involved... 13.4 in total!!!  Then along came July when i realised that I needed to start the torment of training!  Since then ive regually been sporting an extremely exhausted red face and many a sore leg but training has been coming along slowly but surely!  The plan is to complete the entire race without stopping to walk (running at a pace which is extremely close to walking IS acceptable!)..... ambitious I know!

I have choosen to run to support Kidney Research UK as it is an amazing charity which funds research into developing treatments and finding cures for kindney failure and disease.  This charity funds research into pioneering preventative treatments making its work not only life changing but life saving.  

The charity is so important to me as I've seen how the impact of kidney disease can change a families life and I am hoping that by me dragging myself around the half marathon in Nottingham I will raise some money that can go towards helping this amazing cause.
