We help blind veterans to discover a life beyond sight loss

Story

because if I can raise the profile of Blind Veterans UK, for all the help and support I received on loosing my sight.

I would say Blind Veterans saved my life. when I lost my sight my world fell apart around me, and there  were times when I did not even want to carry on living. Coming to Blind Veterans UK in 2004, saved me, as until that point I had not idea how I could carry on.

I had to give up the career as a Nurse, but the more times I spent training at the Brighton centre, the more I realised that I could turn my life around.  I needed to be around people who shared my circumstances , and I have met some truly amazing and inspiring  individuals.  blind Veterans UK worked with me to help me turn my life around and I can not thank them enough.
