• 3 peaks over 4000m

• total ascent 9500m (9 Mt Snowdon)

• over 72 hrs walking

• covering 143km

In aid of a new treatment for breast cancer; Intra-Operative Breast Radiotherapy.

The treatment includes a single dose of radiotherapy which is given when the breast tumour is removed and takes about 30 mins, conventional radiotherapy treatment commences several weeks after the tumour is removed.

We’ve known friends with breast cancer, they put their lives on hold while they spent weeks having radiotherapy, this new treatment could have reduced their treatment time.  It is worth investing in.

This service will be part of an international clinical trail and could be the future of breast cancer treatment.
