After being unwell last year, our son James was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis - a chronic auto-immune disease which can be life-changing. Children with JIA are often described as 'Warriors' because they have a daily battle with pain, joint stiffness and swellings and the side effects of medication. Thankfully there are effective treatments available on the NHS but currently there is no cure. We would like to raise money through NRAS to support families struggling with JIA and to further educate people about this disease.

As a family we will be undertaking a non-stop musical performance for 6 hours on the evening of June 9th, to include Maria on classical guitar, Peter on his guitar, James on his violin, and all of us singing on the karaoke which as the night progresses should be amusing. Other instruments lying around the house will also be played including various recorders, harmonica, horn, trombone and Greek Bouzouki, if the strings aren't too rusty. Even our German Shepherd, Athena will be singing, so please donate to a cause very close to our hearts. Friends, you are welcome to come and join in the fun with us, bring your instruments and voices or  just have a glass(es) of wine and bring your ear plugs!
