Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rob and I will be hiking to base camp Everest in October in aid of the Martlets hospice, who looked after my mum during her short battle with lung cancer.

Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 2022 and passed away in march 2022. During her treatment the martlets did there very best to make her comfortable and confidents to try and carry on.

For this I’m forever grateful for there efforts.

She was my best friend and I will continue to make her proud during this journey to base camp. I will be taking some of her ashes to scatter there, so mum will be doing the journey as well.

Any donation, small or big is welcome to help the martlets give the support they gave mum and us to other family.

Thank you.

Maria and rob
