Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
What a year it has it been. Each challenge I have faced (physically, emotionally, intellectually, etc.) I have been supported by people who have empowered me to find the strength and confidence to push ahead. This has humbled me and made me appreciate we are all interconnected, and when we actively step outside our comfort zones and support others with compassion and non-judgement we all rise up making the world a little better.
In February I will be participating in an expedition in Vietnam with HER Planet Earth and 9 other like minded souls to raise awareness and funds for UN Women Vietnam.
UN Women Vietnam and their projects focused on the advancement and economic empowerment women in rural areas of the country!
Due to their gender-defined roles in society and traditional patterns of marginalization, Vietnamese women are amongst those that are likely to carry the heaviest burdens from climate change and environmental degradation and we will be supporting a very important project to strengthen women’s livelihood and participation, ultimately building climate change resilience in their communities which will transcend and impact the larger world.
Please note: Each member of the expedition team are cover 100% of their own costs. ALL donations go directly to UN Women Vietnam for the benefit of lives of Vietnamese women, their families and the environment.
