Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.  

After such a success last year with raising money for Cancer Research, I decided to run it again this year.

A slight difference this time, still running Race for Life, but all donations going to the AMMF charity.  The AMMF are the cholangiocarcinoma charity based in the UK.

As most of you know my mother passed away from this cancer in October 2009.  This charity is a place of information and gives hope that people are being made aware of this disease.  But more research and awareness is needed.  Though it's said that it is rare… in the past couple of years I have known others lose their battle to it.  Most recently my godfather in Sicily.  As like my mother he was diagnosed too late and passed away within a few months.

The charity’s current objectives are to raise the awareness of cholangiocarcinoma, to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis and treatments, and to provide information on this disease.

Your donation however big or small makes that difference, and we can give hope and a better chance in life… for those who have fallen to this devastating disease it is too late… but together we can help fight now and for generations to come.
