Hi I'm Maria, and I've taken on the challenge of running the Great North Run 2013 in aid of NEA to help eradicate fuel poverty in the UK.

Working for Warmer Energy Services I  feel very passionate about fuel poverty, with the majority of low income and vulnerable households severely affected in today's economy. The NEA do great things to help ease the impact on households and supporting such a good cause is high upon our business objectives.

I’m aiming to run this years Great North Run on Sunday 15th September within 2 hours. I have already started my training. I would be lying if I said it was a walk in the park, but it is a really good feeling to be training again.

I have a fundraising target of £1,000 to which if I'm successful will all go to help NEA continue the good work they do.  My employer has agreed to match donate this, meaning NEA gets even more.
