Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my page.

For those of you that know me and of course for those of you that don't, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2010. Without boring you with all of the detail, it was a shock! You hear of other people being diagnosed, however, you never think it's going to happen to you. Safe to say, it was a tough Christmas that year as unfortunately you can't help but fear the worse. The following January, I was put through some quite traumatic operations, followed swiftly by nearly 6 months of chemotherapy, it was tough, however you do somehow just get through it, I was also blessed with the fantastic support of loved ones, family and friends.

I feel I'm now on my way to a full recovery, although you are mindful that you are never quite out of the woods. I feel relatively fit to now take on this up and coming challenge. Whilst it's not a long walk, it's a start for me to give something back. The Peace Hospice does a fantastic job of caring for people living with illness and terminal illness, fortunately for me, I did not need their services, however some do and it is for this reason that I would like to help support 'The Peace Hospice'. I shall be undertaking 'The Starlight Walk' on Saturday evening 23rd June and all going well completing it in the early hours of Sunday!!
