Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, raising funds for Aberlour Child Care Trust through Strictly Come Prancing 2015!

We were married last September so what better way to celebrate our first anniversary then stepping into our dancing shoes as Aberdeen does Strictly, hoping to raise as many pennies as we possibly can for an incredibly deserving local children's charity!

Along with a handful of other corporate couples in the city we'll be embarking on three months of gruelling, toe-tapping training in preparation to wow a massive crowd of 300 at the Beach Ballroom on Thursday 10 September 2015. We'll be part of a fun-filled group dance but also throwing all our passion into it in hope of being the winning couple on the night!

We'll be taking a table on the night and we'd love to see you there too!  You'll get a glamorous welcome reception, delicious three course meal and an evening of entertainment... featuring us!  Other excitement on the night includes the live band, photo booth, guest judges, a live auction and lots more... not to be missed!

Tables of 10 are available at £800 or individual bookings are £80pp - if you can't make it along then PLEASE dig deep and donate.

Help us to help Aberlour, Scotland’s largest children’s charity to support some of the most vulnerable children in the country. All funds raised at Strictly Come Prancing go to support Aberlour Options - Aberdeen, a respite home for disabled children based in Bucksburn.  In case you're not familiar, respite care is all about giving children fun-filled short breaks with qualified, expert support at Aberlour whilst mum and dad take a chance to recuperate from their roles as carers.  What a fabulous cause to support.

Looking forward to a fun-filled Charleston!

About the charity

1 in 4 children are living in poverty in Scotland. That isn’t right. Not all children are born with an equal chance. We know that by working together we will beat poverty and discrimination. With your help, we will reach more children and their families earlier, before it’s too late.
