Story
In 2013 my grandson Zachary was diagnosed with an eye tumour( Retinoblastoma) and then a few days later we were told that he also had a brain tumour(Pineoblastoma). Zachary then started a long and arduous journey of chemotherapy and intrathecal chemotherapy. My aim is to raise awareness of this rare cancer so that other children can be diagnosed at the earliest opportunity. Zach and his parents still three years later attend Birmingham Children's Hospital every three months so that he can be checked for any changes. This means an overnight stay in a hotel next to the hospital which CHECT pay for.
