Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have volunteered for Shropshire Cat Rescue for over 7 years and one of the things I do is feed and clean the cats and kittens in our care. I have made new friends. It is not just a Cat/Kitten Rescue..... It is more, therefore, I want to raise money and awareness for the

Big PURR Project (Plan for Ultimate Rescue Relocation)

Shropshire Cat Rescue has a Vision - A community where animals and people work together through education, art, tourism and leisure, health and well being and volunteering, improving the quality of life for both people and animals and highlighting the benefits that working together brings.

The money raised is to buy a large site, say 10 acres, were the work which is now being done can be extended.

Some of the on-going volunteers do are:

1.Volunteers have made over 100 visits to care homes with some of the Moggies Retirement Village cats over the last 4 years.

2.There is a Book Buddies scheme where local school children who find it difficult reading to adults can read to the cats.

During the Summer months there are open Saturdays, from 11-3.30 pm when visitors are welcome and can find out what Shropshire Cat Rescue is about.

Please help me raise funds.

The registration fee of £10 goes to the Dementia Appeal.
